DESCRIPTION: APW - Hamilton, Grade 941 with scarce two-tone damascene, 21J, 18S, gold-filled original HC with beautiful engine turning and floral engraving detail, small house scene at lower rear, white enamel DS dial, fleur-de-lis hour and minute hands, SW-LS, two-tone gilt and nickel damascene, s#205595. A beautiful watch throughout, this example is particularly notable for the exceptional preservation of its movement's two-tone color which exhibits a deep rich gold color with fiery bright luster. This serial number is listed in the Hamilton ledger as having been sold to the Non-Retailing Co. of Lancaster, PA on July 25th, 1903 and is from a group of 40 consecutive serial numbers (205561 to 205600) that this firm purchased between July and September of 1903. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, exceptional two-tone color and luster, few small spots to plate surfaces with the most notable being to the barrel bridge above the "t" of "Watch," small spot of oxide near regulator tip, small spot of oxide near "S" marking of regulator index; nearly flawless dial with micro-fine scratch to lower portion of seconds-register; excellent hands; case shows hardly any wear, no dents or dings, superb crisp engine turning and engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
